A piece of jewellery might also once been just a broken piece, a broken piece given a new life. A piece from the forgotten oak on the bottom of a lake, blackened by the water's neverending struggle to succeed in the degradation of the tree. As a result the tree have become even harder, taken one step to be transformed into stone. Back in the light the crack is present, a crack with a story. The crack is now filled with the shiny silver, and suddenly a new life appears, and a new story is created.

"I got a splinter out of my finger yesterday

one I saved in a small tinbox
One day I will plant it in my garden
If it begins to sprout
there will be a part of me growing there too"
